Dr. Thomas is a Senior Consultant Plastic Surgeon and Acting Head of the Burns Unit at Al Wakra Hospital in Qatar. He acted as the lead clinician for the move to Al Wakra Hospital and has been involved in the various aspects of organizing the service at the new site. Prior to this appointment, he trained and worked at various plastic surgery centers in India and the UK.
He has published in various plastic surgery journals and written two book chapters. His special interest is in wound healing and scars. He is a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and holds an overseas membership in the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons. He also has a life time membership at the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India, Indian Society for Surgery of the Hand, Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and Indian Association of Medical Informatics. Lastly, Dr. Thomas has a membership in Society for Tissue Engineering and Regeneration of India and National Association for Burns in India.
